Intermittent fasting might not be suitable for everyone. Even there are many types of intermittent fasting. Some will go to very extreme while some will go for mild one, which is the time period of the fasting. The standard is 16 hours of fasting and 8 hours of eating period. If you have PCOS, I would not advise this 16:8 type of intermittent fasting. I will advise you to follow a milder one, probably 12 to 13 hours of fasting rather than 16 hours. Usually, too long hours of fasting period may increase stress on your body. It depends on the root cause of your PCOS. If the inflammation's root cause is your body, intermittent fasting, especially the long period of fasting would be harmful to you.
Intermittent fasting is not advisable for everyone. Please get advice from a dietitian before starting your intermittent fasting, so that your fasting timing can be adjusted accordingly to your condition.
